In the AreaFor the adventurous, there's horseback riding at nearby Aspen Meadows, with trails leading past vistas of the Sierra that take your breath away. Horseback riders can rent mounts from spring through autumn.Pinecrest Lake offers fishing, swimming, hiking, bicycling and boating of various kinds in the summer. Hiking - There are hiking trails that lead in many directions from the camp or you can take a two-hour hike around the lake.  
The USFS information center at Highway 108 and Pinecrest Road has tons of free information about things to do. The amphitheater at the lake offers summer movies under the stars and naturalist activities. |
